For a while there it seemed the idea of the Huron River Project was having the desired effect and I was making regular outings to photograph the river. And this probably contributed to us going to England and me having “my eye in” from the start. But since we came back, nothing. Of course, there has been lots of life, and trips to California, but it still seems odd that my camera hasn’t made it out of my bag for a long time.
Today I decided time was up, and headed out the door, just the camera and one lens. I left the camera bag with the other lens, and my tripod, at home. I don’t generally think this camera, nor more importantly myself, are that good at hand-held photography, but this camera does have some useful settings to make hand-holding more possible, in terms of shake, while perhaps compromising some quality, more noise.
I started walking downtown but before I got there I went instead down to the river. I might have a number of photos of the Huron in Ann Arbor, but if I want to get back to my project, this was hopefully an easy way to get the eye in focus. If nothing else, I enjoyed the walk.
