Last night was the opening reception for the Michigan Artists exhibition at the Kerrytown Concert House, organized in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Leslie Science and Nature Center. 27 artists contributed a work each (mostly paintings, some prints, one 3D). This first photograph shows how my print had a wall to itself, to one side of the performance stage; a little over half the audience sits to the left of where I am taking the photo from, and a little less than half behind me. The second photo is from a lot closer, and that’s me casting shadows and reflections all over the place. It was a great evening, lots of people came, I sold some boxes of greeting cards and calendars, though my print is still waiting for a new home. The show will up until the 28th, and you can walk in any time during daytime business hours, or of course you can attend a concert.
