As a warm up for my trip to Scotland next week, I was out yesterday in Black Pond Woods at LSNC. There was a lot of water in the pond, and I was able to get lost in the reflections

What had drawn me out to the woods was that NAP had been there the day before and conducted a controlled burn. I found out too late to get over while the burn was happening, but I still thought it would be interesting to see how things had been affected; seems the tree trunks, even the fallen ones, didn’t take much notice.
