Visiting Ullapool; been to the gallery at An Talla Solais, and seen my prints on the walls, hope to have more available soon. While researching before my trip, I discovered this interview with James Hawkins and was fascinated to hear his description of Jon Schueler and his art, and got the book “To the North” from the library.

Hawkins has a gallery out beyond Ullapool at Rhue, so I decided to go investigate. When I got there, I wanted to explore the Point and the area around the lighthouse. It was a beautiful afternoon and I must have been there over 3 hours before heading back into Ullapool for dinner. After all my ferry rides last year, including coming in to Ullapool from Stornoway, it was fun to see the CalMac ferry arrive (and depart!).
