I haven’t been to the fitness center (it had gotten to the point where getting there and back was taking up too much of the day and I can exercise other ways) and anyway we used to go a different way when I went regularly. Jill has kept going as they have a fantastic swimming pool, and Saturday I accepted her offer to go along.
I packed my camera gear instead of my workout stuff, and as we were crossing the Huron River, which we never used to do, I suddenly saw new possibilities for photography from up on the bridge. To be fair, I had made photographs from one side but that was many years ago. So after dropping Jill off at the fitness center, I drove back to park near the bridge and took my gear out there.
It was cold, especially when the wind picked up, and the clouds kept clenching and then relaxing, so sometimes I had to stand and wait for the light the scene needed, but it was a very enjoyable hour before I returned to drive Jill home.
