I feel like we never see mist locally. It might just be that I grew up with real, dense fogs. Or that I’m not normally one for getting out of bed early, and so the mist has always gone already by the time I look out the window.
This day, not only was there a good amount of mist, early on it might even have counted as fog, but it lingered all day. Yes, it brightened a little, but it was still there for my afternoon walk, and I was thinking here was an opportunity to make some photographs in the woods that I don’t normally like to because of the houses that can appear in the background, but now no background would be visible.
First I crossed the local park, and even there the mist made new opportunities.
In the woods, there were indeed lots of photographs to be made, and that included the main pond.
Finally, although I was there for the mist, looking up and far, here was a scene that asked to be photographed.
