After visiting Whidbey Island, I was able to fly directly from Seattle (ok, via Amsterdam) to Manchester – my first visit to the UK since 2019. First stop was on the Lancashire-Yorkshire boundary with my brother.
Since we speak every week, there wasn’t so much catching up to do, and so apart from “normal life”, shopping for groceries, visiting family, we were able to explore each day. First the familiar location of Malham Cove.
We had discovered Dunsop Bridge, described by the Ordinance Survey as the geographic centre of Great Britain, on my previous visit. On that occasion, we had only had time for lunch in the fine cafe; this time we were able to take a long hike into the hills.
