Final stop on my quick visit to the UK was to stay with an old friend from our days at HP who now lives just outside Bristol. I was able to travel directly from York to Bristol by train.

My two oldest (longstanding) friends now both live in York, just a short drive apart, so it was easy to co-ordinate movements for trips and events.
After visiting Whidbey Island, I was able to fly directly from Seattle (ok, via Amsterdam) to Manchester – my first visit to the UK since 2019. First stop was on the Lancashire-Yorkshire boundary with my brother.
