I walked into town late this afternoon. I put the LX2 in my back pocket – never been able to do that with a camera before. On the way home, there were interesting clouds in the sky and I was taking photos. Though this photo doesn’t have any clouds in it, I like it.
One of the things I’m finding frustrating with the LX2 is the way it forgets important things when you switch it off (or it goes to sleep). Like the zoom setting. You’d think it would be easy to remember where the zoom was when you switch off, and then return it to that position when you switch on. But no. This is annoying to someone, like me, inclined to take most photos at the long end.
Talking of zooms, such an imprecise zoom control is why I bought a DSLR a couple of months after buying the 5060. Of course, the 5060 is a lot less annoying – it stays at home.
