17 days after it fell, the snow is still on the ground. The Sedum is still there, though the old flowers have lost their white hats. The paths that the cats and other critters follow, and us on the way to the compost pile, are pretty ingrained.
I didn’t take any photos in January, apart from a token gesture at the start of the month.

Well, here we are at the end of the month. I thought I would get back to actually using the camera to take photos. As ever, I certainly saw a lot, of photographs. But it (taking the camera out) never happened. Was it too cold? Were Jill and I too busy doing other stuff? Don’t know, just never got that buzz, to take photos. Thought a lot about photos. What to do with what I have. What new to look for. Just didn’t take any. »
This morning we had an appointment with Jill’s surgeon. Just a follow-up to confirm everything was going OK.
This morning we woke to, what I think I would describe as, a hoar frost, in effect; light rain, freezing rain, light snow, we had it all, but only lightly, and it was very cold. The trees were coated with white hair. »
I didn’t use my camera in December 2014. I don’t know when I last went a whole month without. No sooner was Thanksgiving over, than Jill had her surgery, and so all my focus was on caring for and supporting her as she recovered. The New Year arrives, and I am determined to make a picture, but as you can see, it was already getting dark when I managed it. Seems I am already out of practice, so I will have to keep this up now!
